Problem
Practising spoken English alone can be difficult. This project explores a conversation partner that replies aloud and keeps corrections available for later review.
Approach
The app combines microphone input, spoken AI replies, conversation scenarios, and a mistake report. The microphone pauses while the AI speaks to avoid recording its own reply.
The implementation supports different AI providers and a device-voice fallback when browser-based neural voices are unavailable. Signed-in users bring their own API key and keep their conversation history.
Current status
An early version is deployed and the source repository is public. The product is still in development; it has not been established as a public commercial service.
The existing project notes record device limitations and no automated tests at the time of writing. These need rechecking in the product repository. The screenshots show the interface, rather than verified learning outcomes.
